The 'breadcrumb' trail is not complete and it is not easy in all cases to go back one step. It is not a big problem but can be annoying.

A global password reset would be really useful. When Moodle was first implemented all the students were given passwords. Months later nobody can remember them and I have to manually change it for each student before a lesson can begin. This is not a small task. The user IDs all start with the year of enrolment so if we could use the advanced search facility to enable a group of users to have their password reset to a standard one (password?) that would be geat help.

    Hey

Very niece article for my module development I have attempted recently. Though ... I am looking for Xdebug/ Zend Debugger. They might have proved very useful. Do you have any experience with eclipse ad debugging guys??
I'm just getting started with moodle development. This is an encouraging post. I guess the trick is just to start working and keep working at it. Eventually the work will pay off and you start to learn a lot about Moodle source code, libraries and interface.

Turning on full debugging is indeed very good to catch all sorts of little errors.

Two other things you might want to look at while you're coding:

- the Apache log file
- Postgres log file

(I use http://dollyfish.net.nz/projects/monkeytail to tail both files at once)

A well behaved piece of code should keep these files nice and clean
